Reported effectiveness
The average perceived effectiveness of the treatment amongst the patient views found for this page.

To calculate the reported effectiveness for a patient view, the model first analyses whether it can be ascertained that the person writing the review has had direct experience of the treatment for themselves or a loved one. If so, it then uses sentiment analysis to rate their view from 1-5 on how effective this treatment was for them, with 1 being the least effective, and 5 the most effective.

Hi my friend, we had a really positive experience using DMOs. They specifically made a big difference for my child. He had greater control and awareness of his body.

I love DMO products as I have seen the improvement in alignment and awareness, both essential foundations for motor control learning and rehabilitation. But yes it needs to be well measured for a good fit otherwise it's very tricky

My son's Lycra suit is wonderful. My son has dystonia and I really notice an improvement when he is wearing his suit. It slows down his movements, helps with alignment and supports trunk and upper extremity control and strength. I also notice a carry over when the suit is taken off. He’s not a huge fan of putting the suit on, but once it’s on we don’t have any problems and he tolerates it very well. The only negative I find is that I’m reluctant to put the suit on if it’s very hot and we’re out.

My daughter loves her DMO suit, we have found great improvements in physical ability and posture when it is on and she likes the proprioceptive input.

It was amazing as gave me such great support and helped me with my tremor that I get sometimes. It was a great product and was funded but unfortunately it is not funded anymore so I use a different suit.

My son's DMO is excellent. It gives him much better stability and posture. This has helped with his independent sitting for example. The turn around time from measurement to receiving the suit was very good. That said he is three so at this age he is growing out of the suit very quickly.

I do!!

If dmo is well measured I love it so much more then the Theratogs because of ease. But because we have had trouble with fit with the DMO I have reported back to theratogs. You can do more with theratogs in regards to strapping ect

When my child is all zipped up in his custom DMO suit he is supported and in alignment. It helps him during his therapy sessions ensure he's in the best possible positions. However as soon as he grows a little it becomes uncomfortable for him.

We actually love DMOs as all the trapping in built so easier to put in. But if you know how to use theratogs they are the best as can move straps. You always want to start with no strapping and or/using for shorty periods, and can always try for a month and re-assess
