Reported effectiveness
The average perceived effectiveness of the treatment amongst the patient views found for this page.

To calculate the reported effectiveness for a patient view, the model first analyses whether it can be ascertained that the person writing the review has had direct experience of the treatment for themselves or a loved one. If so, it then uses sentiment analysis to rate their view from 1-5 on how effective this treatment was for them, with 1 being the least effective, and 5 the most effective.

Start as early as possible. The Trexo helped my kid in many areas. Not just getting upright and moving. Bowel movements, sleep, swallowing, vision, spasticity, initiating steps, motility and overall quality of life.

We saw improved posture and some alignment overall. Some increased walking speed. We were hoping for a bit more but we had limited time with the device. I feel like this is a very promising treatment for CP if started early or done consistently.

We've recently tried similar machine on our intensive. My son did 1h a day of this, on top of other therapies, 5 days a week for two weeks. We've seen great improvement, actually. He had SDR nearly 3 years ago and he's been struggling to break the bad habit but made some great progress recently following this last treatment.

Yes! He’s loves it! It’s been so great for his gait and strength and we see huge improvements in his gait trainer after being in the Lokomat.

Interesting, I’m going to hopefully be trialing a robotic exoskeleton walking ankle afo (biomotum) soon. I’m cautiously hopeful that will help with gait pattern. Very encouraging that you saw positive results from the Lokomat.

It really helped improve Gabriel’s walking scheme. His legs were much smoother and fluid than before, he could walk better and faster. It also helped strengthening legs muscles, which was key after SDR.

The first time we saw an improvement (in crossing legs) was at the beginning of our journey with Lokomat, about 3 years ago, immediately after the SDR. That time we did it 1 hour a day, 4 days a week for 7 weeks. In the fifth week we finally saw a change that in the first 4 weeks we couldn't even imagine... on the contrary, we were very frustrated. I also tell you that the therapist's experience also makes a huge difference. We did some Lokomat intensives in which Ferdi did not interact with the machine and others where with a more expert and capable therapist Ferdi became master of the game

We usually do a lot of Lokomat therapy and it helps a lot to improve the gait scheme

My daughter is 5 and had SDR with Dr. Robinson at Johns Hopkins in January this year so we are only 3 months post-surgery. She is back to pre-surgery function (walking with her walker) and her muscles are significantly more flexible and relaxed. We are still building back strength. Headed to an intensive at NAPA center for the next 3 weeks 💪

Yes! It’s the robot legs on a treadmill. But you can greatly adjust the speed from slow up to a run. There’s a little bit of a bounce to it too. It also adjusts the amount of support it gives based on the effort of the child and it gives you an analysis of how often the kiddo/adult is initiating the steps vs the machine and how much impact is being made with each step, etc
