Reported effectiveness
The average perceived effectiveness of the treatment amongst the patient views found for this page.

To calculate the reported effectiveness for a patient view, the model first analyses whether it can be ascertained that the person writing the review has had direct experience of the treatment for themselves or a loved one. If so, it then uses sentiment analysis to rate their view from 1-5 on how effective this treatment was for them, with 1 being the least effective, and 5 the most effective.

Weight lifting as part of strength and conditioning classes. I've found it very good for balancing out my posture and movement.

I have seen noticeable improvement in cognitive and physical symptoms by strength training and walking. I mix in some cardio and boxing exercises too. But the big ones are weight training and walking.

Core strength training has helped me a lot. When I sense I'm going off balance, my core kicks in.

Resistance training is massively helpful. The best few hours of the day are after I get back from the gym.

Word to the Wise on Rock Steady boxing. Be careful, particularly if you are untrained. I’m in pretty good shape for my age. I added Rock Steady boxing to my fitness regimen and within one month suffered a labral tear. This is negatively impacted the level of overhead resistance training that I can do. I’m actively rehabbing my shoulder now. I think the injury was probably due to poor technique and also too much load on my shoulders from resistance training plus boxing.

I go to planet fitness every other day. Strength training and arc trainer. I notice a big difference afterwards.

I just made a radical change in my routine. I was doing HIIT, crunches, free-weights, & stretches 4 times/week, always the same routine. Now, I’m doing HIIT 3 times, punching bag routine once/week; swapping out core [crunches] with upper body free-weights routine; swapping out PWR!Moves with traditional stretches. My body is adapting to the changes, and it feels very good.

exercise totally exhausts me but in 4 months i've def improved. so like i can do stuff now with 2lb weights on my legs that i couldn't do at all in the beginning. i don't think i'll ever be super energetic and not get slightly nauseous but slow and steady increases seem to work. i think it's worth persevering. takes time

Strength training not super heavy just high reps also Push-ups also high reps I worked up to 100 twice a day. The first few days did suck it will feel like it’s getting worse but when you build some tone in your muscle my tremors were dramatically reduced.

Glad this was helpful Alex. The weights and movements are a factor for sure, but also think things like plyometrics for high intensity and high impact. LSVT BIG and PWR! are great ways to move BIG in addition to your weight lifting

I enjoy lifting weights and it’s fun getting back into it after 40 years. I have rarely lifted since college football, my gym is great (Planet Fitness) and even as a geezer I feel welcome. I can see the change in my body and that’s a good thing.
